That's not the entire story. A large portion of the 20 million was a bonus for not signing with DAZAN. For the Fury fight, Wilder signed for a guaranteed 4 million and made 3.5 million on the back end of 325,000 PPV's. That said, Wilder stands to make 20 - 30 million for Wilder Fury II.

Didn’t know this was why his guarantee was so high. I thought the bonus was given on the Brezeale fight. He got 10mil to fight OFF Ppv for that one. Fox is really taking care of this guy. We will see which route ends up making him the most money. Fox or the DAZN deal he declined.

Either way, he’s must see TV. Probably the most exciting fighter on the planet right now.

Correct, showtime apparently paid him what dazn would have for the Brezeale fight which for a non Ppv fight is amazing. We will never know exactly what he is being paid numberswise but the indicator is which direction wilder chooses to go as you said. FOX appears to be on a totally different level than dazn, showtime, espn, etc etc in terms of promotion...I mean they really are putting muscle behind PBC. Since the haymon ppv stars get percentage cuts of absolutely everything involved with a ppv (right down to the food sales of the arenas) there’s really no telling how much they are making that boxing journalists will never get access to. That was the whole point of PBC stars refusing Hearn and dazn.....the fighters get so much more money than just the flat fees dazn wants to pay. Deontay wilder quite possibly just made more than Canelo Alvarez.

At least Wilder finally learned that it’s ok to punch his opponent in the body.

Why isn't kownacki fighting anymore? With wilder (or wbc champ in general) out of his road till - at least - mid 2020, he should find a good match.
