Ortiz boxed excellent for nearly 7 rounds last night. In terms of technique he’s the most skilled fighter in the division, unless you include Usyk who‘s ostensibly still a cruiserweight. Let’s remember he was actually outboxing Wilder more convincingly than Fury, but with Deontay we all know it only takes one.
Some of these delusional fanboys are saying Ortiz was a “hype job”, was “never that good”😂😂 complete and utter nonsense. He always has been and still is a top 5 HW.
Ortiz has been avoided and ducked for the vast majority of his career, but even at 40 he’d still beat the majority of these pretenders. I’d confidently predict he’d beat any HW not named Fury, Wilder or Usyk and you could possibly add AJ to that list depending how he looks in the rematch.
