This thread is probably the dumbest thread I’ve ever seen posted here.
I hate to say it, but I think Wilder would've beaten Prime Tyson

I don't think people should get too carried away. I think Tyson would come out and try and blitz Wilder early and Wilder would have to land his right hand early to end the fight before he gets overwhelmed. Either way the fight probably doesn't go beyond the third round. Even though Wilder has a lot more height and reach, he's mostly a straight puncher and I think that would be negated by Tyson's great head movement, and that would be the real difference maker IMO. I'd favour Tyson by early KO, 70/30-ish.Comment

Wilder wouldn't know where to throw that right hand with Tyson bobbing left and right and getting under it. He'd blitz Wilder the first few rounds and it would be overComment

Has Tyson even beat an opponent at 6'7?
Tyson is 5'10 with T-rex arms. Wilder would legit put one hand on his head and beat his ass with the other.Comment

Bro Tyson fought Lewis in 2002...for comparison purposes he lost to Douglas in 1990.
Yeah that's my thought as well...Tyson would be about the worst opponent imaginable for Wilder.Comment

What does being 6'7 have to do with Wilder's lack of skill and his slow starts in fights when actually facing someone with skill? Tyson would wreck that fool. Wilder hasn't faced someone with Tyson's power or speed and style. Styles make fights, not heightComment

Wow. You really DKSAB.
Every fighter Tyson fought was taller than him, significantly.
Who allowed these 18 year old kids in my forum?
Seriously? Somebody needs to take responsibility for these casuals and newbies.Comment

I love Wilder but let's not get carried away. He would've been target practice for Tyson and would not be able to hit Mike at all. Granted, of course Wilder has the biggest equalizer I've ever seen so he has a puncher's chance against anybody.Comment

you didn't answer my question.
which 6'7 fighter did Tyson beat?
all the guys that beat Tyson were taller than him. so there's a pattern of Tyson struggling with tall fighters.
then there's the fact that Wilder has stopped every single shorter man he's faced.
Tyson simply does not measure up.Comment
