Alvarado beat the shit out of Cancio, they could have stopped that 2-3 rounds before.

    Time to retire Cancio.

That was a brutal fight. Not a shocker Alvarado won. He is way better then he was years ago when they fought and most people kept saying oh he already stopped this guy but anyone who actually watched the first fight knows Cancio was losing then caught Alvarado late hurt him and there was controversy in the stoppage because he was still on his feet. Alvarado has wins over Castellanos, Jayson Velez, Roger Gutierrez (which is a great win right now after he just iced hyped up Rocky Hernandez), Denis Shafikov, Carlos Morales, and Cancio. He earned that title shot and now he's world champ.

That was a good fight, but no shocker.

                  Good point.
Alvarado has to be mentally tough as ***** to bring his self back from a KO loss.
I admit I slept on him too.
Hopefully he can get a couple title defenses in before he's fed to some prospect.

Looks like Alvarado's improved since then

Yeah I watched it last night after that crappy heavyweight fight I should have ignored. What a savage beating.
