Is a boxer supposed to change trainers every time he has trouble with top competition? Lol

Definitely not! Boxing ain’t rocket science, nor is it void of great examples (past great fights) to learn from on how to execute in rematches....

His co-trainer Mark Breland is a cool dude that I have the honor of knowing and can clearly see why he’d (Deontay) keep him in camp....

The only exceptional fighter I know that went berserk with firing & hiring trainers is Oscar. He couldn’t even tell them face to face they were let go....it is what it is...

Joshua wants to keep his trainer too...ain’t nothing wrong with that....not rocket science we’re dealing with Lol....

No, it’s not rocket science, but some people are definitely better at it than others. It’s just silly to change trainers like underwear. And by the way, I met Mark at a Luther Vandross concert at Madison Square Garden around 1984. I think he still hadn’t turned pro.

Of course you’re absolutely right. Some are better at it than others. I’m just convinced that guys like Wilder, Joshua, Usyk, Ortiz, Fury etc,. should be able to find a way in the ring to be much much better. To me they’re above average and are where they are for a reason. I just happen to think Wilder is the best and most courageous of the bunch! But there are many fights ahead to sort out all the confusion....

There’s so much to glean from past great fights - even sophisticated ways to “cheat” from the greats. I have total confidence in these existing champs abilities to adjust and make good fights - even with their present coaches. Emanuel Stewart was special, but he doesn’t exist anymore.....I’d have definitely paid him for what he could offer, but sadly he’s no more...Mayweather Sr. could also give some invaluable skillful points to incorporate...

I met Breland when he was trying to become a coach in the Olympics (after his career was over). He was dumbfounded that as vastly experienced as he was they weren’t giving him the opportunity to participate. There are some on this site that won’t contribute prejudice to such blatant disregard so I’ll leave alone. I passed his old gym yesterday Bed Stuy Boxing. It’d be nice if it could reopen with a better management team...
