Let's support Emmanuel Rodriguez - Say no to bullying

Imagine being able to only fight smaller guys. Then imagine needing PEDs to beat them.
Deep down the Mexicans don't really consider canelo as Mexican. They're desperate for a champion. Desperate people do desperate things. -
I'm with that, man, must be a hard choice, 'specially after all the secrifices made to get ready for the fight, but when it's your health and maybe even your life on the line it's shouldn't even be a question.A lot of times You had fighters bullied into taking fights - or fighters taking fights for a money - and then crying after the fight.
Sergey Kovalev recently for different reasons, I remember Vicente Escobedo also when Broner missed weight, Yamanaka was victim of Nery's tactics in Japan
I'm pretty sure that right now, network and promoters are mad at Rodriguez - not Nery... even though Nery didn't fullfil his contractual obligation.. there was a pressure on Rodriguez to save the fight, take money and shut up.
Nery is potential money maker - so Rodriguez was suppose to shut up and play the role of sacrificial lamb quietly...
I think it's great that He took a stand, even though He's just missed on a payday and months of camp came to waste...
...and I think boxing public should get behind him to make sure He's not going to be "punished" for it, getting sidetracked and thrown away - while Nery gets another big payday and opportunity whenever He asks for it... and probably becomes mandatory for WBC title based on missing weight?
Say no to bullying.
Honestly can't see how repeated weight offenses should be treated any less harshly than PED abuse, and in any event it should be accepted practice that if a fighter chooses to drop out because of an overweight opponent they should receive recompense from that opponent towards incurred expenses. That might make these weight bully dudes think a little harder.Comment

Nery isn't a guy that deserves ANY benefit of the doubt and with Roach admitting that Nery wasn't half-assing it early in training? Good for team Rodriguez for taking a stand here. Nery has missed weight on numerous occasions and there is just always something with him. Just fight at 122 if you can't make 118. I get that fighters sometimes kill themselves and just can't make weight...Okay fine, but this guy didn't show up to training a few days which is unacceptable. Shame because this could have been a really good and competitive fight.Comment

If he moves to 122 a young hungry champ like Navarrete would beat his ass. Want proof? Huh? What the hell does Navarrete have to do with anything? Nery can stay at 118 and get his ass KTFO by Inoue technically. And he can move up and not fight Navarrete if he's that scared of getting his ass beat by him.
