Wilder Vs. Ortiz 2 Purses: Here’s How Much They Will Make

Both Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz are getting more money for their rematch than they did in their first bout last year. But not by much.

According to the Nevada State Commission, via Yahoo’s Kevin Iole, Wilder’s purse for Saturday night’s fight is $3 million while Ortiz will earn a $1.5 million payday for his upcoming work in the Fox PPV main event. In their first meeting, Wilder officially earned $2.1 million with Ortiz bringing in reported earnings of $500,000.

If you’re wondering why those purses seem so low for bonafide heavyweight stars, don’t fear. Both men likely will make much more money when the PPV receipts are tallied, and it’s certainly possible Wilder—who is a -600 betting favorite while Ortiz is a +450 underdog—has a large guarantee for additional millions (if not tens of millions) from Premier Boxing Champions.

Especially considering Wilder turned down a four-fight, $120 million deal with DAZN that would have seen him face Anthony Joshua (this was before Joshua lost his belts to Andy Ruiz), it’s clear that PBC would have had to promise him big-time money to convince him to not accept DAZN’s terms.

Still making below $10million till this day smh. While someone else is about to cash at least $90million.

Time to join the ***** circus clown like the other fat idiot with one eye and start begging WWE for money.

LMAO at Al Haymon cheques. When has Al Haymon ever spent a penny of his money on boxers, apart from bankrupting investors?

They are already losing money on the fight and tickets aren’t selling. Their holy grail is if the PPV miraculously does over 500k. And even with that - Wilder still won’t get $10milliom.
