He hasnt trimmed down to any real extent at all says it himself, yet this story just wont die. Its a headline thats popped up for months with no basis, same case for Ruiz. When they both come in roughly the same it'll all be forgotten that theyve wasted our time with these false articles again and again.

And from my observation, this looks like the case.
If he's notably lighter, his punch resistance may be even weaker than it was when he was so overly bulky in the first fight.
Ruiz on the other hand I think could lose some weight from the first fight and not really have his performance affected negatively.
He carries a lot of excess fat and may have actually gained some beneficial, functional muscle mass since June.

Anthony Joshua was not out of condition in the first fight, you do not keep getting back up 'From knock downs, smiling if you are out of condition'. I do believe that something probably did happen in camp, but really? That is irrelevant. I have read many boxing books, in particular David Haye's autobiography, and he was involved in heavy sparring coming into most of his greatest wins.
This fight is a technical fight for Joshua, not a war of attrition 'If he wants to make it a war of attrition, then he is making the wrong moves on the chess board'.
This is the first time Joshua has been technically and physically challenged i.e He has gone into a fight, and nothing he has done? Worked. Neither Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder have suffered these kind of defeats. Tyson Fury at elite level is a one trick pony, and thus-far he has not really HAD to fight any other way 'And no fighter has been able to deter Wilder or knock him off HIS game-plan ether' Wilder eventually penetrates his opponents tactics.
I still think Joshua will find a way to win, but he has to hurt Andy Ruiz Junior early 'Because as the fight progresses, Joshua does have a tendency to become more static' He HAS to make a statement early, the same way Lennox Lewis did against Mike Tyson 'When he hit him with that uppercut'.
18 minute mark & onwards etc
