Comments Thread For: Wilder-Ortiz: Nevada Commission Approves Judges, Referee

LAS VEGAS The Nevada State Athletic Commission assigned one of boxing's most respected referees Wednesday to officiate the Deontay Wilder-Luis Ortiz rematch. The NASC approved executive director Bob Bennett's recommendation for Nevada's Kenny Bayless to be the third man in the ring Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The NSAC also voted unanimously during its monthly meeting in Las Vegas in favor of Nevada residents Eric Cheek and Dave Moretti and New Jersey's Steve Weisfeld judging the second bout between Wilder and Ortiz.

Kenny Mayweather bayliss is a terrible referee. He needs extra money now that floyds retired....(even though hes surely set for life from the Maidana fight & his numerous visits to nuthug Mayweather at his vegas mansion)

That's probably true because the winner is already determined if it goes 12. This going to be something if Ortiz gets robbed and watch wilders fans still go with it.

Wilder...feels like he's trying too hard.

My instincts tell me we're about to see a repeat of Stiverne II with Ortiz slumped.

But...my gut tells me Wilder gets dropped even if he ends up winning.
