What odds would u put on Canelo vs Beterbiev though? Who cares about Ring Magazine rankings anymore? I’m Canadian and Beterbiev fights outta our country and I wouldn’t have him ranked so high, but he did look like a real handful in his last fight and has a bunch of belts. Still saying a Chechen ****** being ranked high is just typical White racist America sounds pretty crazy. Eastern European fighters have been hot and hyped over the last decade. I think it’s just backing a trend. America was at war with Eastern Europe for half a decade, and there’s all sorts of bias against them still. It’s not like there’s a big financial market to tap into by placating to them. Don’t let the ring rankings bother u especially if u don’t respect it. One magazine owned by a boxing promotion is in no way the definitive reflection of any group. If there’s an over extension on the Rings part to hold Eastern European fighters in higher esteem, let them get exposed. There will be another trend to back next.

Some people are beyond psychological help. I mean, sure the brain retains some neuroplasticity even after it has matured, but there is only so much movement which can be achieved. OP is fucked. It’s so painfully obvious for example the ring magazine has guys like Usyk and Beterbiev ranked in the top 10 after beating avaerage guys yet LSC( who I’m no fan of)has wins over Frampton and Mares both better than any guy Usky and Beterbiev have beaten and he’s also been at the top of his division longer and has actually jumped weight classes yet he’s nowhere to be found in the top 10 p4p ranking smh

The media is biased towards white fighters, not just Eastern Euros, but since Eastern Euros are the best white fighters at the moment they get all of the love.

I mean the boxing media is probably 90% middle age to old white men so of course they’re going to value white fighters more.

Usyk seems legit, but I definitely agree about Beterbiev. He definitely should not be in the Top 10 P4P discussion yet.

i generally dont have an issue with loma and usyk....and beterbievs last win was a good one......kova i never had an issue with either aside from some of the things he said after losing to ward

golovkin ive always had an issue with...HBO coddled him and paid him for fights i dont think they would have paid anyone else for...all to make him look like the second coming and appeal to an audience...

also look at the way the media gushed and treated pavlik before bernard schooled him....he was the greatest thing to them for the time being

while I agree there may be some bias toward Eastern Euros, I don't think Usyk, Loma or Bieterbiev are examples of that bias.

IMO Usyk is deserving of his p4p rank. He cleaned out the division by beating the top 4 guys other than himself. In fact, I have had him 3rd on my p4p list since he won the WBSS tourney.

Bieterbiev upset Gvodzyk and deserves even more credit for that win given IMO he was about to be the victim of Arum's BS judges and got a KO before he could have the victory taken from him.

Loma is clearly one of the 2-3 best boxers in the world. I get some have Canelo or Crawford ranked #1 but you can't rank Loma outside of the top 3 and not have people question your agenda or knowledge of the sport. I may not like the emeritus BS but that doesn't change his accomplishments, skills or talent.
