Quite possibly THE worst stoppage that I have ever seen in the sport of boxing. Holyfield bum-rushed the kid and landed a few clean shots, kid falls down because he had terrible balance and simply didn't know what to do to avoid getting hit. Kid wasn't hurt one bit but the ref waves it off anyway before he even has the chance to think about getting up. Had he fairly given him the chance to continue, the kid would have beat the count by about 9 seconds. Anybody who saw boxing for the first time ever was scratching their heads saying WTF?!? Actually, everybody said that no matter how long they've been watching boxing. Even ref commentator Steve Smoger said that the ref was not ready to be officiating fights on TV.

I said it on the night, but the officiating in every single fight on that card was unbelievably bad. Even Jack Reis, who is normally a solid pro, lost his mind in there. The extra press made really these refs **** themselves.Comment

Again why would Evan making his pro debut challenge a journeyman? Can't the kid move up the ladder accordingly? He is facing the competition he needs to at the moment. He isn't automatically as good as his father. He is green as can be.I don't think you're grasping how bad his opponent was. It's one thing putting guys in with no hopers or bums or whatever you wanna call em for their first however many fights but this kid could not box at all. He had had one pro fight which he lost by TKO and looked terrible while doing so the whole time. At least crusty no hope journeymen usually have some wins and can defend themselves or at least go in safety first trying not to get stopped or just throw somethin or do anything. Something...Comment

Got to love it when a former champs son get all this
publicity and their using bums to build them up then once they get destroyed the outlets say (He's not his dad) He has personal problems, he didn't dedicate himself, he got someone pregnant and just didn't train anymore. He never was S_it point blank!Comment

Then why didn't he stay in the amateurs ? He has losses in amateur fights so why rush into pro ranks if you're fighting guys way worse than average amateur fighters. Stop making excuses for horrendous mismatches. No reason he shouldn't have had an opponent that couldnt remain vertical for at least 2 rounds. I saw this kids previous fight it's clear they cherry picked a kid who cannot box to save his life literally.Comment
