if Canelo is smart, he'll get away from golden boy as soon as he can. They serve him no benefit anymore. He's popular enough that he doesn't need a promotor, golden boy doesn't have any meaningful fighters in their stable that would motivate him to stay (the way arum used to entice his fighters to resign by promising them a pac fight) and he can feel free to do business with whoever he wants on a fight by fight basis. After all, that is exactly what Oscar did to arum and also what Floyd did.

I got a small clue something was amiss in Jacobs land back around August when a girl posted a really cryptic comment on his official facebook page publically scolding/shaming him but in a way so vague to not divulge any actual info (making the entire comment pointless other than to stir the pot).
She made a similar comment shortly after on one of his next posts. It aligns time wise with the first news of the Rozier rift that soon followed, so I assume she's somehow affiliated with Rozier. (No, that isn't me replying to her).
I'm reserving judgment on this as I did Golovkin-Sanchez because I (like you) don't know the details or amounts involved and how justifiable Rozier's ire is, but I assume everyone will show consistency, with your reaction to that split mirroring what you say here. Anything else would be flagrantly biased toward either guy, as on the surface it's seemingly the same scenario.

he doesn't need Haymon and on the contrary, he can fight any Haymon fighter he wants even without having to sign with him. No promotor/advisor in their right mind would turn down canelo wanting to fight one of their fighters because they know the pay day that comes with it.Comment
