Let me splain something to you Buckwheat

Sometimes a fixed flat fee is not as good as a percentage deal

Mayweather tried to give Pacquiao 40 million flat fee...umm not bad you say

Arum knew the value of the fight...he insisted on 40/60

End result Pacquiao gets 170 million

Puzzyfruit vs Wilder in 2 fights would gross 700 million-1 billion when all revenues are added up

For Wilder to accept 80 million for both would be foolish

Puzzyfruit would get all the rest of the gravy..
Say fighters share is 350 million after all expenses

Wilder gets his 80million flat fee...not bad

Puzzyfruit get 270 million umm much better....in fact its robbery

Is it starting to sink in

Now add to the fact most of the revenue would be coming from the USA...

home of 70 million dollar gates, 600 million dollar fights

The UK is stuck in smaller revenue fights

UK biggest gate is 10,11 million

    UK ppv is 26$ USA

USA PPV IN MEGA FIGHTS 100/110$$

Why would Wilder from the USA accept 22/25%
While puzzy Fruit gets roughly 75%

The bulk of money is coming from the bigger, wealthier country(USA) for this huge international mega super fight

WILDER said 50-50 or no deal

Does anyone feel Wilder's win over Ortiz was more impressive than Joshua's win over Klitschko?

I like how everyone calls Ortiz an old man when it comes to Wilder fighting Ortiz... but Wlad was young and prime when Joshua fought him...? Lol.

Everyone is gonna say 'who has Ortiz beat?' yet nobody wanted to fight him. They could have got him out of the way if he was old and easy.

Whyte is a POS. Ortiz did test positive but it was cleared in a more efficient and honest way then the curious case of Benjamin b sample Whyte. It's being swept under the rug... Whyte would have had so much credibility if he didnt test positive, then him and Hearn sweeping it under the rug.....

I think Wilder's win over Ortiz was possibly better than Joshua's win over Klitschko... maybe it didnt look as good because Wilder did not come out to platform risers and pyrotechnics in front of tens of thousands.

Btw... Joshua beat Klitschko but there were talks of a rematch before Klitschko decided to retire. Nobody was complaining or going to complain about that rematch...

But everyone is complaining about Wilder having a rematch with 'old man' Ortiz...

          No double standards lol

He doesn't like the idea of having his biggest fight before a watered down crowd of British fans.

"AJ asked me how many British fans could get tickets if the fight was in America and could get over and I said about 6,000 and that's after we have done 250,000 in three fights and it doesn't seem right," Hearn said.

"He's keen to do the fight in the U.K. and from Rob's point of view it's an advantage. If it's in September it gives us the ability to go outside and we would have to consider Cardiff [the Principality Stadium], Wembley, the Olympic Stadium, Twickenham and Old Trafford. AJ wants it in London preferably."
You could have saved an article that actually says they turned it down for that. That one says they just prefer the UK.

The vast majority of lists didn't even have Fury top 10 when he fought Wilder. I made a thread about it before the fight. Everyone thought he was done. I still think he might be, Wilders boxing ability is so bad it just appeared Fury wasn't.

You don't negotiate, by giving the other side 24 hours to accept before even meeting. When was the last time a fight was made like that? Besides, AJ offered Wilder up to $120m, and the latter ducked the fuck outta that.

AJ's PPV drew less, because Parker couldn't draw flies to shit, and Fury sold the hell outta the Wilder bout. Wilder couldn't generate anywhere near those numbers before Fury stepped up.

Wilder's team didn't understand how to negotiate, and Wilder turned down more than double the money. If AJ's a duck for turning down a sus $50m, then what's Wilder for turning down $120m Hearn had the money to pay?
I've already quoted Hearn in this thread explaining why the $50M deal fell through, and he didn't mention the Joshua Internet Alliance's excuse one time. All he said was that the money was legit, but Joshua didn't care, and was prepared to earn less to fight in front of his fans. The BT Sport excuse didn't even gain traction until after Hearn declined the offer. You guy can craft creative stories, but we can just look at reality and see that you're full of it.

If Joshua really wanted " the best available opponent", he wouldn't have got it by Wilder having to spend the next 2 years fulfilling 3 fights out of a 4 fight deal. Wouldn't he want Wilder right away, instead of making him jump through all the hoops? All of this is moot anyway, because a late replacement for "that juiced up Miller bum" who was a total unknown exposed him. Hilarious to see you guys try to make Ruiz into some glorious world beater after he pulled off the fluke. After Joshua dropped him in the 3rd round, you thought it was the end of a helpless victim. Tell the truth lol

What a ******ed comment. The fighters turn down fights because of money, the sport is prizefighting it's based around money.

The Klitschko rematch was in the contract, Joshua would have had no choice.
