The bigger stronger version of Liam Smith has a good shot at beating anyone in the 168 and 175 lb division except David Benavidez

I think/hope we will see Smith against the jacobs-chavez jr. Winner next year. That's a good fight.

Is it just me or someone else thinks that, after all the great perspectives and promises, Callum Smith's career will end like that of Billy Joe Saunders, namely fighting mostly secondary fighters?

He's overrated, british-european level champion, dont think he beats any of the current champs at 168 or 175, not even Saunders

We’ve had this same script since the Fielding fight...

This version of Callum would be the favorite to beat anybody at 168 including Canelo, which is why he'll be avoided like the plague. The only fights within his network are against the very dangerous Bivol, or the very cautious cherry picking Canelo Alvarez. A benavidez or plant fight is going to be next to impossible to make for the brit. He would beat both anyway but he'll never get a chance to prove it. Hearn should try to lure Bivol to Anfield, to put his WBA light heavyweight belt on the line in a big money fight. That may be as big as it gets right now for Callum. Canelo would not fight either the Brit or the young Russian. They are going to have to fight each other.
