    Only time will tell.

How much was Dazn offering him? only way its worth it is if he surpasses the amount dazn was offering him with pbc/ellerbe..

I hear ellerbe always bagging on Dazn talking about yeah you getting paid on Dazn but nobody is watching you cause its an app blah blah blah but when push comes to shove I rather be paid than famous.

I don't care who he's with, but his gamble of not taking AJ fight has backfired spectacularly. It will take AJ years to get back his reputation, and that's assuming he'll win all his fights for next 3 years. Wilder-AJ is not going to be worth that $100M for years.
Well he "Bet on himself" and pretty much lost. They were hoping both fighters would keep on winning, which would mean big money down the line (If they charge boxing fans 100 dollars for the PPV).

Maybe if Ruiz wins the AJ rematch then he can make something close to what he would get against AJ.

Wilder will win all of his fights over the next 3 years to 50-0 because THEY ALL WILL BE RIGGED FAKE FIGHTS.

And Ellerbe knows Wilder would have lost to Joshua and it would be game over.

At what point do you idiots wake up and realize Wilder is a total complete protected counterfeit fraud hoax pretender? AT WHAT POINT???!!!

Glad everyone isnt drinking the Kool Aid.

Awful business decision by Wilder, but his black friends make some more money....so I guess that's a win?

Can’t see how turning down $100m for 3 fights in your mid 30’s is the best idea, especially when you’re not making anywhere near that much.

Wilder’s team don’t always do what’s best for their fighters, they do what’s best for themselves. I understand it’s business, but your job is to make money for your fighter.

Tank got offered $5m for one fight on DAZN, no strings attached deal and his team turned it down basically. I bet he’s made nowhere near $5m for a fight yet.

They’re not always looking out for their fighters, they have other interests in mind such as their own network deals and promotional companies, so they aren’t going to let their better fighters go on a rival network affiliated with rival promoters, but at the end of the day it’s the fighter that’s losing out.

They can’t keep it up forever if they can’t compete with DAZN financially. The biggest earners are at DAZN now, Canelo, GGG, AJ etc.. eventually more fighters will want to go there when they realise DAZN is there to stay and still offering big money. Fighters were apprehensive at first, but now they’re realising it’s where to go to make money. Guys like Haney making $1m for undercard fights.

Let’s be honest, if you told any DAZN doubters that Canelo and GGG would be on there within their first year, they would’ve laughed at you. DAZN is going to continue to take over when the rest can’t compete.

we will only know if it was a mistake or good decision when his career is over, for now its just a risk for bigger things or a mistake. either way fighters shouldn't have to sign multi fight deals with particular promoters to get certain fights.

I thought he actually did end up getting a loyalty payday from PBC after this. Am I wrong ?

I could swear I read he got high 20 low 30 million guarantees for staying with PBC.

He could've been the one to KO Joshua, make $120 million doing so, shoot his fame into the stratosphere and be the face of boxing, become as big as Tyson.

                    All of it gone.

How was that a smart move?
