  • Comments Thread For: Trainer: Masvidal Would Be Very Competitive With Canelo!

Mike Brown, the head coach of UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal, believes his fighter would be very competitive in a boxing match with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Both of the popular fighters were in action back on November 2, headlining their own respective events on opposite sides of the United States.

They’re really hustling journalists and reporters for that fight. They want that big money. DAZN would likely jump at the chance. Canelo doesn’t really care, he has a set contract and you got other DAZN fighters fighting trash anyway. He could do the same.

Fool me once, fool me twice...Canelo could probably eat a sandwich and box Masvidal at the same time.

        Commission won’t allow it.

They let Floyd face Conor because he hurts no one he OUTPOINTS you for 12 rds Canelo on the other hand hurts ppl so doubt commission would it.

Canelo would destroy Masvidal so badly, I'd watch it like a like any other train crash.

But Canelo isn't an older Floyd, and Masvidal isn't even Conor level boxing, so it would be brutal.

I guess boxing is doing good then since a UFC fighter who participated in an event where DAZN/boxing bowed down to, is calling out a boxer as he can't resist a canelo pay day. Ahahaha....

Thus would be something like almost allowing murder

Of course he is gonna say stuff like this. He wouldn't put his own fighter down. He doesn't truly believe this non sense and by the look of things the fans know it too. It's like Canelo saying he would go into MMA and fight Masvidal, he'd lose that. However the UFC pays their guys peanuts outside of a select few. That's why they always call out boxing stars because they know they get paid better.
