Donaire lost on the cards to Frampton, and won the WBA title by destroying Burnett. Gamboa got destroyed by Castellanos and Sosa, fought once last year, and knocked out an even more shot Martinez. He's also older than Donaire, and fighting in a weight division he doesn't belong in. I think it's safe to say that the Donaire that Inoue fought is much more dangerous than the Gamboa Tank's set to fight.

That was a bs W in the Sosa fight. Sosa deserved to get that W. Yuri gots 3 Ls in my record book. Making him 3-2 in his last 5 fights for me.

But none of this matters. Yuri in his late 30s ISNT elite even if his resume can be argued to be elite, which with the random L idk if thats exactly true. I wouldnt consider many guys with random Ls to no names to be elite. A high level resume can usually has at least all high level Ls usually along with some good to high level Ws.

True, but Gamboa has been fighting on as a clearly shot fighter and he had that stretch where he was shelved. Any fighter who fights long enough will eventually lose to lesser guys. Yuri squandered his career, and is simply trying to hold on. Damn shame. Hope he at least makes a decent account of himself in his next fight.
