I think Kovalev vs. Gvozdyk makes sense for both fighters.

I think Kovalev vs. Gvozdyk makes sense for both fighters.

Gvozdyk just lost a hard fight against Beterbiev.

Kovalev just sold himself out to Canelo and got KOed in a fight in which he fought as if in a sparring session.

Now after some time off and a full training camp for both fighters, I think it would be a great matchup.

    What do you guys think?

No, I think it makes sense for Kovalev to retire.

In theory it makes sense...the top guys should fight each other...if Kov loses/looks bad he should retire though...and if the Nail loses/looks bad he needs to change something up for sure

I think Kovalev has been done for awhile now. We know how this would go.

I don’t think it makes sense for Kovalev.

I think Kovalev can get a bigger name fight.

Kovalev is guaranteed two more paydays by DAZN I think he takes a soft fight next and then maybe go for Bivol

I'm still in shock that DAZN allegedly signed him to a contract.

Dangerous for Kovalev. Gvozdyk has little name value, but is still a top guy in the division. Kovalev, if he's going to stick around, needs either easier fights or name value fights.

I agree... I also think this is what DAZN is planning for Kovalev in his next 2 fights...

Makes sense if you want to see Kov knocked out again
