If Canelo gets it Floyd is the only fighter in history to beat 2 FOTD in the same decade, Floyd is laughing either way because he beat them both, I dont see how Floyd loses anywhere.

The difference is Floyd had the better decade when Manny won the award and felt he got shafted. I don’t think Floyd expects to win this year.

It doesn’t really matter. The voters that voted manny for FOTD look as bad as the voters for MVP that voted Malone ahead of Jordan.

You can see how political each vote was where a few voters put their personal agendas ahead of what was right. In the end, Floyd dominated Manny when They fought same way Jordan annihilated Malone for the title.

Manny and Canelo will both likely have FOTD awards and both will have clear wide losses And be ranked below Floyd, who is clearly the best of All 3 fighters.

If canelo wins that will also mean the last 2 fotd either tested positive for PED’s or refused a fight because he was asked to take ped testing.

I think that only hurts the integrity of the sport.
