It lower than winning a vacant title, at least there you have the number 1 and number 2 contending fighting for the title.

I think any records mentioning the word "belt" or "title" should have a massive asterisk next to them.
Belts and titles in today's context are pointless in comparison to the past. There are more belts in one division today then there used to be in all of boxing 30 years ago.Comment

The next year, at 21 he won the IBF, and right before his 22nd birthday he beat Spinks for the Lineal.Comment
