This is from Naoya speaking on TV commenting his own fight.

The right eye was done in round 2.
After the left hook in round 2, he started seeing things double.
Inoue fought the rest of 10 rounds with basically one eye.
After the eye trouble, Inoue switched the plan to win on points.
He took the middle rounds off so that he can clearly edge the last quarter.

I'm not sure, but it should have been a TKO victory for Inoue in the 11th because:

1. The referee stopped Inoue from engaging Donaire after the vicious body punch in the 11th.
2. When Donaire took a knee, the referee gave him a few seconds before starting the count.

Before the fight, I thought Donaire is going to stop Naoya, because the former has been very good at destroying smaller opponents.

Donaire fighting smaller fighters is a myth. Go research the fights and you will see that after rehydrating he was even lighter than most of his opponents. He just looks big

Inoue's style is not made for the long-term. If he keeps getting into wars like this, he won't last very long. He is exciting to watch, but he has major flaws in his defence. It wasn't apparent when he fought lesser competition, but in this fight it shows very clearly that his defence is lacking, and he has no active guard. He seems to be a reactive, turn-based fighter instead of giving his opponent different looks by dictating the pace (no ring generalship, limited boxing IQ). If he doesn't have the power in his punches, he would be very vulnerable.

Being bigger than the opponent doesn't always have to be by weight. Other factors such as height and reach advantages can be considered as well. If two fighters are identical in weight but have significant difference in height, I'm sure one fighter will definitely look 'bigger'.

Yes he has been unchallenged and untest. I don't like when fighters blow opponents away.
But I always imagined Japanese fighters IQ would be highest as they are intelligent nation

It is because in this division. Donaire is a beast. This is where he knocks people out.. when he moves up in weight he lose his power and speed.. but in this weight class he is a terror

Juicenaire? It is well documented that he’s one of the few boxers who do some serious drug testing year round. Don’t get him mixed up with Nery who was banned in Japan for juicing!

Well if Donaire isn't all that how did he get to the final round of the tournament??
