Marquez would win but he would def get dropped early on puncher like Tank with his speed is def going to land on Marquez early.
But Marquez style is just to technical for Tank imo his main assets are his physical gifts to beat Juan you need to be have some good technical skills mixed with athleticism.
Tank so far seems like he purely relies on hand speed and power and not enough technical skills or defense to match if he tries to solely bully and rush Juan he will make you pay with hard counters so unless Tank has great chin he will take brutal punishment and prop get dropped himself.

When I saw that title I thought " Surely some other Marquez, surely he doesn't mean Juan" but then sure as **** he does.

Reckon I'm too big a fan of JMM to be objective....smokes the lad imo.

Davis is unproven while Marquez is proven.

Davis is 25 years old already and hasnt fought chit. I was thinking he was 23 or something.

They move fighters along more slowly these days. So many 30 year old who have *** all on their resumes but an undefeated record.

No. In his prime Marquez was a nightmare counterpuncher with some of the best combinations. Not to mention he had power as well. Marquez would have a good size advantage as well.

Yes Marquez could be dropped and hurt but that only made him more dangerous. But the determining factor for me is that Marquez went head to head and was competitive all times with one of the best southpaws to ever box in Pacquiao.

With his power , speed and skill he could be a problem for any boxer his weight in my opinion.

Very true. They move them along too slowly and start them too late and don't fight often enough these days. They are often older past prime by the time they are proven. I think Davis could beat his competition but they need to throw his ass in there and quit cherry picking.

Its safe to say Marquez would get dropped probably multiple times. But i see Marquez eventually picking him apart the question would be if its enough to make up for those knockdowns i almost guarantee would happen
