Comments Thread For: Is KSI vs. Logan Paul Rematch Good For Boxing?

It's easy to snarl at the rank commerciality of it, what on the surface feels like a naked money grab at the expense of the sport's integrity. But will boxing get any benefit from the clash of the YouTubers, or is the sport just the butt of their big joke? It's fair to say this fight has split opinion. Does this...

DAZN will break records of teenagers getting a 1 month trial then their mom's cancelling it when it shows up on the credit card bill.

Or they'll probably all stream it since I hope most kids are savy enough to steal garbage content like this rather than pay for it.

Everyone involved is going to make millions. I don't see how events like this get people upset, don't like it don't watch.

Oh I wont be. Maybe the undercard if I'm bored enough and maybe the highlights of main event tomorrow if I hear there's a big KO or funny moment.

            And singular million not plural.

How many times are we going to see the same article rewritten and rehashed on this site?

Well that, is true, but like everything there is some good effects and some bad. Obviously people who really love boxing will think it's garbage. The thing is, does boxing need more fans and more money? Obviously for people working in the industry that is desirable but not for fans passionate about the sport.

Boxing needs a complete overhaul of the whole system but that is not going to happen anyway anytime soon.

The fight doesn’t bother me - but I find it bizarre that the pair of them, both being independently wealthy and not involved in boxing by circumstance (i.e. escaping poverty, bullying etc) or from an early age (like a Eubank jr, or legacy fighter) would want to fight. They’ve surely got other, safer options to make money!? But maybe they do genuinely really dislike each other and this is a convenient way to settle it without getting arrested!

I won’t be watching anyway - white collar boxing is usually terrible to watch, can’t imagine the quality here will be much better! To quote Frank Warren, it’s not for me but plenty of people will enjoy it so good luck to them
