LOS ANGELES-The six degrees of separation for Shannon Briggs and Logan Paul can be traced back to Paolo Moreno. Briggs first met Moreno in Los Angeles nearly 24 years ago in Hollywood. They became fast friends that day and even partied together later that evening at a nightclub. They've since developed such a friendship that Moreno was Briggs' best man at the former heavyweight champion's wedding.

Why didn't the article mention he said all of this from a speedboat while Chasing Klitschko?

On a serious note, this fight is a joke just like all the sellouts pandering to this farcical bs. The fact that this clown is claiming that this circus will bring in ppl who've never seen boxing before in their lives, shows just how rediculously pathetic this donkey show is,that he would resort to such pathetic, blatant lies. How ****** can someone be than to believe people haven't watched boxing but will start now because 2 guinea hômos from youtube are competing in a Sheneneh contest.

Shannon is a washed up sell out at this point. I actually like Briggs but he’s turned into a cheap novelty act. He’s just embarrassing himself...

        Here. Here...

This event is unquestionably damaging to boxing.

How much is Brigg's getting paid to be Logan's yes man?

Lol as a longtime boxing fan since the 90s, and a hardcore boxing fan, I say it is good for boxing, imo. It’s good publicity for boxing.

Would you guys rather these two get into UFC and give MMA the publicity?

No. Let them have their circus fight in pro boxing. When networks see the money that these two generate, they’re going to see how big boxing can be with some advertising. The problem with boxing is that it has little advertising. I wish more celebs got in the ring with eachother and give boxing more publicity. Put some real boxers on the undercard of these circus acts so that the fans become exposed to those real boxers. If I was a big promoter i’d jump at the chance to promote this circus fight just so I can put my main fighters on the undercard so they can be seen by more fans.

              I agree

And also i basically think a lot of boxing fans are just taking it way too seriously. The way some are acting, you would think all the good fights and fighters we have are going to disappear because of this one fight. It’s one night, by Monday the event will be out of the boxing domain and the only people that will care are the fans of each guy arguing over the winner/loser. We still have great fights to look forward to.

It’s just entertainment at the end of the day and will be old news very soon in today’s world.

Also, maybe it could be a lesson to modern day boxers about building a profile. A lot of boxers are slating it, but they barely do anything to really promote their own name and brand. Not saying they’re gonna get 30m followers too, but it’s a lesson that if you build a name for yourself by using social media, which is everything now, then there’s money to be made.

Maybe some of us are not of the generation that follow youtubers, but let’s be honest, we were 17 and 2 of our favourite incredibly famous musicians or whatever wanted to have a fight, we would all be watching. So it has to be understood from the perspective of todays teenager and the celebrities they follow these days.

Yep, boxers need to advertise themselves like the old days. Back the Ali didn’t have youtube, twitter, instagram and opportunities to record his life and allow millions to watch it immediately. His antics came when ever he grabbed the mic and from there, due to his charisma and humor, he got on late night talk shows and basically built his brand with his own mouth.

I can’t be mad at boxers who become millionaires because they decided to advertise themselves. Abel is another one who tried his best to advertise GGG (better than K2 and Loeffler)...and all the boxing fans ate it up positively or negatively. The advertisement worked.

Paul Logan is the perfect person to sell tickets. He is annoying as ***, everyone wants to see his face punched in.

Shannon is a great hype man. Yeah hes his "trainer" but when has he ever trained anyone? he would probably do this for near nothing, he loves the camera and attention. Jeff Mayweather did not show for the final presser, he has a completely diff personality than briggs, did not care to be there up on stage hyping this farce.

idk but Logans base purse is 900k. so not a lot. 10% standard rate is 90k.

which is more than most make in a year so not bad but not huge.
