I do wish they'd go full weird sometimes.
I dunno this Masvidal character, I know Nate and how ****ty he is so I reckon I got some handle on Mas, assume he's a **** fighter the UFC calls good like Nate....or Conor. I don't know what youse guys watch when you watch MMA and say **** like "They're good in their sport but" No, no they are not. They are bad in their sport, they don't have much talent in that sport and they have so many promotions there's no chance the best ever fight the best. Instead what you get is the UFC best fighting the UFC best...wowee. Show me a HW champion in MMA fighting another HW champion in MMA. Never happens.
Overeem won the SF title in 07, Lesnar the UFC in 08, there was talks of cross promotion championship matches, never happened, Brock lost to an in-house guy, who came from SF, in 2010, Alistair got bought in 2011, Brock and Alistair finally fight once neither owns a title. Brock got his ass kicked. Was Brock ever the best HW? Seems to me when a guy from SF can move up the ranks in UFC and kick Brock's ass and the former SF champ kicks Brock's ass then the UFC's 'best fighters in the world' BS goes out the window because clearly SF scouted some talent.
Just like boxing they fight well past their best time, which would have easily been early 2010 right after the Carwin fight, but unlike boxing there is no chance of this not happening. They fight in different promotions. You've never seen Fedor under the UFC banner, best indeed. MMA has no undisputed, they have no unified, they only have like what would happen if everyone just believed Arum when Arum tells them Top Rank has all the best and TR fighters need only fight TR fighters....bunch of super protected ******* and those who are good don't get the chance to prove it, they just demolish the **** around them until they get demolished, and the sport claims some kind of evolution using techniques borrowed from sports that have not changed in centuries....evolved to understand a spinning backfist is ****ing dumb. Wowee.
So given MMA is really just a promotional thing with sport and talent coming secondary I'm damn sure they're never going to do well in boxing. Lucas Browne's about their best showing so far.
HOWEVER! Can he Sumo? I'd watch him and Canelo Sumo. That's dude's best chance at beating Canelo at anything. Some ****in' Sumo.
One does MMA the other a boxer....who fences better? Can he riposte? Can Canelo?
I mean if we're going to have an over promoted bum may as well even the playing field and throw them both in an under promoted sport that has **** all to do with either skill set.
Everything MMA is made up of is better in their own sports. MMA has ****ty boxers, just watch boxing. MMA has ****ty kickers, just watch MauyThai, MMA has ****ty grappling, just watch Dan Gable, MMA is just kinda ****ty. I watch it, but I also watch BKFC and Dambe, I'll watch any kinda fight really. Doesn't stop it from being a **** sport filled with **** athletes and even ****tier, I mean the worst, trainers on the planet; Winklejohn can eat a ****.
While I'm at it, Dambe looks much more like MMA than Boxing for a reason, so does BKFC, they all share a pool of **** fighters who can't be exposed because they're under different banners.Comment

Canelo will spark him out.
Mayweather was 40 years old, retired, busted hands and significantly smaller than McGreggor. Conor still took his punches better than I thought he would, but May had zero respect for his power, walked him down and Connor had some boxing experience as a teen.
This Masvidal guy is the same size as Canelo, who is 29, prime and can punch. Pointless matchup, canelo will have to carry him and then spark him out of there Khan style, puts him out cold.
It needs to be a heavyweight MMA fighter to make it atleast interesting.Comment
