    Wilders resume is hot garbage

His only good win was against a 50 year old dude who himself has no good wins

yeah sure you have to respect the skills of Ortiz but he falters in many other areas which won't allow him to ever become champion. He is retiring after this rematch when Wilder stops him mid fight.

Deontay Wilder will go down in history as one of THE hardest hitters of all time. Just accept it, and stop hating. His resume is at least as good as any of his current alphabet rivals. His legacy will be built on his fights with Tyson Fury, whether that's two fights or three. At the moment his resume looks bad, because his best result is robbing Tyson Fury, the Lineal champion. But as we saw in that fight, Deontay has the power to put any man down. I expect an improved performance from him in the Gypsy King rematch, and if he can get the win over Tyson, that would do wonders for his legacy. Would be that Elite, career-defining win that critics have been ragging on him for not having all this time. I expect Tyson to win though, but I am a fan of both.

yeah wilders resume is not great by any stretch

but he did fight two top 5 Hws and put them down a total of 5x in 24 rounds

he tried to fight povetkin and AJ

he wanted to rematch fury immediately.....all of them ran....AJ got knocked out....povetkin is nothing at this point...and fury ran to fight otto wallin and fake fight guys in tights......

        so theres that

wilder will have made about 27-30 million in his last 3 fights after Ortiz 2.....there isn't an active American fighter that has made 27-30 mil in their career right now....

Inoue in 19 fights accomplished more than Wilder in his entire 42 fights.

I'm not denying he's one of the hardest hitters of all time

He is the most explosive heavyweight since Mike Tyson. Just with a massive reach advantage.

His legacy RELIES on his VICTORY over Tyson Fury next year, otherwise it's kaput. AJ won't go near him. Whyte is an idiot for wanting to go near him.

The debate here is about his resume. Nothing more or less. and it's a known fact he skipped on Wlad in 2013/14 for the easier BUMane Stiverne title route.

eddie hearn still turned down a fight in las vegas for more money to fight jarrel miller in new york. all after the reason for not fighting wilder was "to keep AJ in the UK."

it is what it is. wilder has a draw with fury on his resume, ruiz has a loss to andy ruiz via knockout. boxing is a "what have you done for me lately" game, and wilder's higher on any decent list than joshua at the moment.

i thought fury edged wilder slightly in their fight, [and that he'd beat wilder or joshua in a fight in 4 months if they scheduled it,] so he's #1 for me. then it's wilder. sorry, it just is. ruiz knocked joshua out, but he's a limited fighter himself with short reach and only being 6 feet. lost to joe parker in a close fight in new zealand, but he still lost it. then you can put joshua after htose three if you want. but you can't put him in front, the guy got his butt kicked by andy ruiz last time he fought.

again,w hathave you done for me lately?

manny pacquaio has the best resume of any active fighter. is he pound for pound? nope! spence, crawford, loma, canelo, usyk, these guys all have lesser resumes but they're higher ranked pound for pound than pacqiao, becasue manny's best years were 10 years ago!

joshua's best win was wladimir klitschko and that was a long, long time ago in boxing years!

Yep it is ridiculous and embarrassing. Worst thing about it is hes had ample chances to face any of the top names over the last few years and has made his excuses time and time again and if he fought them i wouldnt put it past him to stop all of them. Thats the worst bit, he can do it, hes a damn good fighter even with terrible fundamentals.

Him and his team have for some reason chosen to have a weak resume with good stats and scream about the stats and go quiet on the resume. But regardless he is here, he seems to be looking for the weakened fighters still but he needs names, i mean are we to expect Ortiz v Wilder 7 of Fury v Wilder 5? He cant keep doing circles for ever to avoid a more prime or dangerous fighter. He has to either move forward, backwards and look like a chicken or retire.

Was skipping on Wlad a bad choice though? Assuming what you say is true. Deontay would have went over to Germany and would not have the style to make it close on points. He'd have been jabbed and grabbed all night long, with the referee in Klitschko's pocket. Deontay was green back then too, and he got made to look amateurish at times by Fury in 2018. So other than Wlad, who else should he have fought?
