But instead of HONOURING the contract he had signed....Mayweather DUCKED the rematch...the cowards champ RETIRED rather than face Delahoya.,....They went for an easy win in between waiting for Mayweather...Delahoya (35) picked Pacquiao (you don't understand boxing but if you did you'd know Delahoya was favored in that fight) so a guy like Delahoya was in fact heavily favored...Pacquiao wasn't picking on an old guy....he was picking up a fight that Mayweather had DUCKED. Remember the Filipino govt almost tried to block Pac vs Oscar because they feared Pac would be permanently damaged.

I am fairly certain Oscar agreed to throw the Floyd fight and was going to fight the rematch real but Floyd and Haymon knew it and knew they could not beat a REAL Oscar and schemed the fake retirement to duck Oscar rematch. Floyd retiring and ducking the Oscar rematch money makes no sense if he believed he could win.

Oscar was probably blackmailed by the video or fishnet videos into throwing the fight to Floyd which was the key fight to making Floyd a PPV star. Without Oscar fight, Floyd would have stayed B level.
He wouldn’t be able to Cherry-pick He would have had to fight Margarito and a juiced out Mosley

Exactly. From day one Floyd had the luxury to handpick every single opponent. Top Rank would send Floyd a list of possible opponents and Floyd would check off who he was interested to fight. The ONLY fight he was forced into was Pacquiao at the end, by Les Moonves, the head of showtime. Floyd also ducked Corrales until Corrales was rigged to take the beating. Corrales was going to prison weeks after the fight for beating his wife. So he needed the payday and was compromised to throw the fight. Jailed fighters don't make the powers that be money. Understand? Remember HBO showed Corrales eating a hoagie an hour before the fight in his dressing room. Obvious fix.
