Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. "I Was Doing ****** Things - No More Time To Play"

LOS ANGELES-At the age of 33, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is now mature enough to admit he's made mistakes along the way of his 16-year career boxing out of the shadows of his legendary father. "No more time to play," Chavez Jr. told BoxingScene.com in a recent interview while working out at the Wild Card Gym, as Freddie Roached prepared him for mitt work. "I want to be the best. That's why I'm still in boxing."

Just don't humiliate your dad anymore.

But seriously, what he is saying about his strategy does make sense so I think Roach has focused his mind. It's too late for him to be a skilled boxer but he has the physical strength

He said the same thing before he fought Canelo. Then he proceeded to become a walking heavy bag for 12 rounds.
