It happened once, it can happen again. Likely not for a very long time, though. Do I see any current fighter doing it, nope.

Yet he still wasn't the best of his era. Mayweather is truly great.

Probably some little Mexican fighter will beat that record.

Turns pro at age 13 and goes from 105 lbs. all the way to 154.

          Nah, Serafim is the GOAT.

He whooped Floyd’s arse, Serafim did.

Nobody will beat his 8 divisions, but Canelo has already been lineal 5x in his career if you count the 4 official times hes won the lineal title(Trout,Lara,Cotto,Ggg) & the 5th time he would've qualified again as the lineal when he beat Jacobs, but Nelo was already lineal from beating ggg, but its still him once again fighting the divisions top guy. When he signed to face Kovalev he was ranked #1 in the division by ring & a few others, but nelo wasn't#2 so that doesn't qualify as lineal like v Jacobs when it was#1 v #2.

He meant Lineal in weight divisions.

Pacquiao was the Lineal Flyweight Champion
Pacquiao was the Lineal Featherweight Champion
              The Lineal Super Featherweight champion
              The Lineal Light Welterweight Champion
              and the Lineal Welterweight champion.

It can be achieved when there are more weight classes, but it doesn't mean as much anymore. Being the no.1 guy for 5 weight classes and being a champion in 8 is the reason why Pacquiao is the greatest of his generation.
