You guys on here are impressed way too easily.Only thing great about canelo is his matchmaking.
These names look great on paper but hes fighting them when they are past their best!!!! In what physical sports are athletes at their prime in mid 30's? Who the **** else is he gonna drag out the graveyard next, maybe ward would fit the bill (mid 30s, not fought in years)?
Even then hes struggling with these guys, i thought he looked terrible on saturday and hes lucky that the only think thats 'krushed' about kovalev now is his dented chin. Oh well at least judges had his back and the fixed cards were in just as a safeguard in case he didnt land that big shot. He didnt even throw punches in half the rounds yet he was still up on the cards
Theres nothing impressive about going up in weight when you are waiting for these fighters to age. Thats not greatness. You saw difference between canelo and an actual great fighter in mayweather, he got played with. Funny how that fight doesnt seem to count anymore cause canelo was 'young', and hes learned from that fight. Yeah, what he learnt is to wait until fighters have slowed down or been knocked out before getting them in the ring.
People talking about fighter of the decade, hes not even fighter of the month, taylor or beterbiev can have that title. Cause they did something that canelos never done (and never could), and thats clearly beat (without controversy) a prime world level fighter.
