Donaire had a special kind of motivation for this fight

I was rooting for Nonito though I knew it would be really tough for him to win at this stage of his career. Inoue, as I have expected, struggled against Donaire because the flash is an elite but past his prime fighter. A lot of folks on here would disagree but its pretty much like Inoue struggled against Nonito as much as Crawford or Spence would struggle against an aging Pac or Floyd.

anyone who is hating on inoue, doesn't know boxing.

inoue got caught with a big punch by a bigger man, but came back strong, and won by a clear margin
that's what champions do. and he's only 26.

let's not forgot, lomachenko lost to an so called 'out of his prime' salido, but no one is callin him hyped.
when pacman was inoue's age he lost to morales, and can't remember how many back and forth wars he was in.. same goes with almost every great champ.. if you know boxing, you recognize fighters at 26, grow.

i don't know if some people expected inoue to run through donaire. but no one at bantam has.
as far as i'm concerned, last night's donaire was in prime condition. not relying on just his physciality like he was younger, but maybe the strongest mentally i've ever seen.

inoue said before the fight, it would be a big test. a war vs a motivated donaire. no surprise, that's exactly what happened.

That was a hell of a fight. I think the competitive nature of the fight is a testimate to donaires fortitude. He stood in there and took heavy punches and fought back. A couple of times i thought he was finished. I think this fight really shows how great the flash is

Donaire was shot to bits too and Inoue still went life and death with him.

Donaire was the bigger fighter. I thought Donaire was gonna get blown away but coming down in weight helped him tremendously. had this fight taken place with the 2009 Donaire, he easily ko's Inoue.

Prime Donaire was not gun shy and would've continually thrown nukes at Inoue

It’s so ****ing irritating. I joined this site to discuss boxing, and it seems only a handful of people on here actually enjoy the sport.

So Naoya was tested by a veteran of the game, these things happen! This fight can only make him better.
