Comments Thread For: Oubaali Drops, Out-Points Takuma Inoue; Retains WBC Title

Thursday night didn't get off to a good start for the Inoue family.
In the bout before his older brother boxed Nonito Donaire in the main event, France's Nordine Oubaali beat Takuma Inoue by unanimous decision to retain his WBC world bantamweight title at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Oubaali knocked down Inoue in the fourth round on his way to winning on all three scorecards and dealing Inoue his first professional defeat.

Disgraceful scorecards. Takuma won most of the 2nd half

Although bitting off more than he could chew, Inoue definately gave a good showing of himself and addapted courageously. Im sure he learned alot in this fight and better days are ahead for him.

Scorecards were wild in this one. Inoue came on strong in the second half of the fight so idk how anybody judging had it a shutout or close to it. Regardless, credit to both guys for giving their all. Inoue is only 23, so a loss to a solid guy like Oubaali can only make him better. He is still a very good young talent with solid skills, but his lack of real firepower will be a detriment to him if he has to try and come from behind late in fights again against the top guys like with Oubaali. Hope he comes back even better.
