Groves v Smith was in Saudi with no issues. Amir Khan just fought there too.

What Saudi boxing match are u referencing that comes close to that sort of event or like the one in December? I’m just saying the latest big money event had issues, it doesn’t mean things won’t work out for the December 2nd match. But if ur gonna reference sum past no money fight between two people nobody heard of as being more relevant than a big money event that has just happened, I just don’t get it.

Its always an issue with fights over there.

I have more confidence with fights in China.

You know how many times over the last 20 years I have read about some Saudi prince wanting to pay more money than Vegas for some boxing match to take place in his garage or some other BS and the fight never materializes....

Honestly, I have no clue. AJ does have a big following in Saudi and he has ties outside of boxing to some middle east countries. On top of that, if we have Eddie Hearn bleating about how everything is going to be fair and on a level playing field, it would be smart to assume the opposite will be the case. I would expect this weird Saudi behaviour to affect Team Ruiz more than Team AJ. Could see some weird chit happening in that sense. Goes without saying, the Gypsy King was treated like royalty while over there, didn't have any issues. He's now home and well in the northwest of England.

Right. I’m not trying to bash Saudi, if anything big fights in foreign countries are even more intriguing. But u said it, just like Arum used to. Saudi always claiming to want to host a big fight but the money never showed up. “If it’s too good to be true...guess what?”
