Hard to say because, whether it was a fix or not, Kovalev wasn't Kovalev against Canelo, so gauging it off of that fight is not a wise move, most likely.

If something resembling the Krusher actually showed up, I would take him to win again; if the pawing kittycat and glove-tapper that fought Canelo is in the ring instead, Pascal all the way.

I don't know. If the in the Canelo fight Kovalev tried his best to win then I would pick Pascal because Kovalev looked like garbage and threw no hard punches and Pascal looked OK last fight. If Kovalev made a deal and did not try to win then I think Kovalev beats him because he beat him so easily twice.

Kovalev was Kovalev though; a front runner, aging, top class 175lber, who was forced to keep his weight far below his walkaround, for way too long, in tough back to back fights.

Andre Ward killed The Krusher when he made him give up in that second fight.

Kovalev takes the rest of the year off, doesn't plan another fight until March/April, and Kovalev is still a top 5 light heavyweight
