I am not sure Canelo would take such a dangerous fight. He is the opposite of Kovalev. Young,and undefeated. Canelo was a 3 to 1 favorite against Jacobs, 13 to 1 against Fielding and 4 to 1 against Kovalev. His stamina problem seems worse now.He averaged over 50 punches a round in the 2nd GGG fight but only 33 punches a round for Jacobs and 31 punches a round for Kovalev. I don't think he can weight drain Benavidez because I think Canelo is a super middleweight himself now. It would be a great fight. Benavidez has very fast hands, good power and a high punch output. Canelo has an iron jaw and speed power and defense. I think Canelo would be the more likely guy to win by KO if he hits him as hard as he hit Kovalev. Canelo has that great chin. Benavidez could take over the fight in the late rounds but with the Vegas judges he needs probably 8 clear rounds to get the win. If he only wins by a point or two I think they would give it to Canelo. I would pick Canelo to win a close decision.
