35-year-old Brazilian heavyweight Rogério Lobo (41-17, 35 KOs) was shot to death in his hometown of São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night. The journeyman, who faced, among others, Owen Beck, Michael Moorer and Kali Meehan, was closing his restaurant in the city when was shot during an armed-robbery and passed away soon afterwards. No further details are available at this time. Lobo's last fight was just last Wednesday, when he defeated Adilson Noli at 1:50 of the first round. Lobo's body was buried on Saturday afternoon in São Paulo. He leaves his wife, Ana, and a 18-month-old son named Gabriel.
