If Canelo of now had sex with Kovalev of four years ago I’m pretty sure the child would still be ginger

Agreed, different fight and different outcome 4 years ago. And 4 to 5 years ago, Sergey hurt and almost stopped BHop in the last round and stopped Pascall. And 3 years ago, Sergey dropped Ward in their 1st fight. He had no pop on his punches or any asserted aggression like the Krusher some fighters feared years ago.

But Canelo did exactly what Leonard did, he evaluated an aging fighter, that was in a lot of wars, he was hurt to the body and head, and saw some things he could exploit, especially coming off a fight against Yarde where he could have been stopped. And he took the fight when it was the most advantageous for him just like Leonard did with Hagler.

But give Canelo credit, it’s one thing to see what to exploit, it’s another thing to exploit it.

Why stop at Kovalev? GGG, Cotto, Floyd, Mosley. Basically, most of the "big wins" on his resume after the 30 bums he faced in Mexico.

Golovkin did for four rounds of the second fight...and then tell us what happened? I know I know in your mind he got beaten pillar to post for 8763 rounds...what does Golovkin have to do with this thread anyway? Need your daily dose of shhht on the guy from Kazakhstan?

I don't think too many people will argue against that.

If the Kovalev that beat Ward was in there and wasn't paid to take it easy on Canelo, it would have been a wipeout.

It’s not going to end well..anyone who didn’t see this coming after the Yarde fight is having selective vision.
Get a grip. He was paid to not KO Canelo. It was pretty obvious. All he had to do was carry ginger to the end and he was to lose by decision. He didn't try even 50%. The fact that he f@cked up and got knocked out was just a golden girl bonus. I can't stand a sellout. Kovalev is a sellout.

Bro, dive or not I could care less. I got dragged over the coals here for saying Canelo was taking on a washed up fighter and it’s exactly what we saw Saturday..him getting up and laughing into the microphone like he just won the fight was all I needed to see.

Oh I know he's no longer the killer he was but he is still more than capable of beating lil @ss Canelo. He was paid off and the way he acted in the fight and his comments afterwards are proof. Go look at how he acted in all other losses for reference. He backed off any time he really had an advantage, on purpose. I'm sick of this shady sh@t with Canelo.
