Who took more risk moving up?

Mikey Garcia going to 147 to face an elite guy in Errol Spence

Canelo Alvarez going to 175 to face a champion in Kovalev

Kell Brook moving to 160 to face a prime GGG

    In this order:
    #1 Mikey
    #2 Brook
    #3 Canelo

Out of all of these opponents, only Spence was truly in his prime. GGG was starting to slow down when Brook took the fight, plus Brook was a big welterweight and GGG was an average sized middleweight.

Canelo took on the worst LHW champion in boxing knowing darn well he was past his prime. I’m taking nothing away from Canelo as it was an impressive KO victory; however, it was definitely the least risky of the fights you mentioned.

Spence was the biggest favorite between those so i would go with Garcia

judging from results I would say Brook, Garcia, and then Nelo a distant 3rd...Brook was permanently damaged, Garcia embarrassed but went 12 rounds, Canelo won.
