Fight never even sparked into life.

People saying Kovalev gassed, how do you gas at sparring speed?
Two judges had Canelo up on the cards at time of stoppage, he was never, ever gonna lose the fight.
Canelo & his team are the most corrupt in boxing.

Looking that way. I think it's getting to a point where there is a big divide between the Real fans and blind fans (assuming majority are Mexican).

I'm normally the paranoid one. Justifiably because I've seen so many blatant fixes at local-level events to know boxing is deeply, deeply corrupt.

It wouldn't shock me if this was a fixed fight. Kovalev was afterall strangely quiet following the grotesque outcomes of the Ward fights. The first undercard featured what I would consider blatantly fixed bouts, so somebody was in on something. Maybe he cashed in long ago.

With that said, when people ask why this looked like a lazy sparring match, I wonder if they forget what they're watching:

A robbed/fouled/KO'd/retirement-seeking 175er who was notorious for barely making weight even in his prime VS an opponent who put on 20 lbs of decorative muscle.

It was kind of a foregone conclusion that it would resemble a lazy sparring match.

Dude, they told us the game plan was to jab throughout the fight so that kovalev doesn't gas but Nelo was landing hard shots throughout the fight & finally caught kovalev. It was just a bad plan from the beginning, kov should of tried to take it to Nelo from round one. Don't hate on Nelo.

S.O.G. beat the shet out of kovalev in BOTH fights. Give it up, S.O.G. has kovalev's soul.

I know Canelo is just trying to look for the best fights when he ducked two divisions to pay an old alcoholic to take a dive. VIVA MEXICO!

I don't think there is anything, anyone in the world can say, or show you that would stop these constant streams of anti canelo posts. Kov wouldn't have thrown as many punches as he did, if he didn't want to win the fight, nor would he have moved and spun off the ropes in the manner he did...he outboxed canelo and i think he gave himself the best chance of winning. Yes he got clipped and maybe you buy into him taking acting classes to re-create the jelly legs or whatever conspiracy theory you believe - thats for you to believe.

Personally, I'm just grateful i'm able to watch this sport objectively, without any of this insane bias

Why do we ignore that exactly 10 weeks prior Kovalev was moments away from being knocked out by Anthony Yarde in the 8th round of their fight? McGirt almost stopped that fight. He then went directly into another training camp without any rest. Also let's not forget that the Yarde fight kept getting pushed back which prolonged that training camp. Kovalev is old and beat up. He's done at the top level of this sport. Let him take a year or two off and if he wants he can come back for a softball to end his career on a W.

The bookies know what's up and made Canelo a 4 to 1 favorite. Strange that a guy called the crusher because of his punching power never threw a hard punch at Canelo at any time in the entire fight,
