Comments Thread For: Top Rank Eyes Big 2020 For Jose Ramirez, Beginning With Postol

After weeks of negotiating terms for their mandatory title fight, finding a home for Jose Ramirez's unified 140-pound title defense versus Viktor Postol should be simple by comparison. "Anywhere in the world," Carl Moretti, vice president of boxing operations for Top Rank told BoxingScene.com of potential locations-and the comment isn't as vague as it sounds. "It's been discussed but that's one part not (yet) figured out."

Ramirez is no joke but if his best win is stopping a guy that got fkn schooled by Darleys Perez on the undercard of Ward vs Kov I then he's going to be stepping into a whole new world of hurt with Josh 'Hank' Taylor. If Top Rank have any sense they'll be body swerving JT for as long as they can get away with it.

Crazy how Broner KO'd him in sparring. I'd like to see that match to see if Ramirez learned from it. I think he'll beat Postal tho.

If Jose Ramirez hand is fully healed, I believe Ramirez will be the first to stop Viktor Postol. I hope the 'Tart-Tomato' Josh Taylor survives his next voluntary defense, Regis Prograis beat the prime out of Taylor.

A fight for the undisputed crown at jr. welterweight in 2020 is now unlikely given that Apinun Khongsong is due his shot at Josh IBF title. One thing is for sure, Jose Ramirez will still be champ next year.

What’s Arums deal? His press releases always go on and on about how his fighters (Fury, Crawford, Berchelt, Takam, you fill in the blanks) are gonna have a big year then all they fight is nobodys and retreads.

Not a bad fight, and a great chance to compare against Taylor's victory over Postol. Hopefully we see the undisputed fight later on in 2020.

Tom Brown is the same guy who promoted Errol Spence's last 3 fights. Top Rank/Arum has no problem working with the other side of the street. It's always been Haymon keeping Crawford vs. Spence from happening.
