Who would even want to watch it? Canelo vs Kovalev ****** ass, but Canelo vs Ward would be even worse to watch.

No even though his cycle-off would be due for some Conte brew

There's nothing "easily" about beating Canelo. Not at all.

Ward is bigger and levels better than canelo. Ward would *** him up bad.

I think this is the fight to make next for Canelo & sure I think Dre would have the ability to win even with his time away from the game. Truth be told I would favor Canelo doe, but its not a unwinnable fight for Dre I dont believe. Think Id throw it in the 70/30, 60/40 Canelo leaning range if it was for May 2020.

Dre would be 36 by fight night, hasnt fought in 2.5yrs & had a injury that hes claimed ended his career. Its a longshot the fight even has a 10% or better chance at going down, but if it did I hardly would think Dre is f#cking Canelo up bad just cuz of his age, time off & less than 100% health from the last time we saw him one could assume.

I'm no fan of Ward...but he is a long day in the ring vs anyone...he is very tough and smart, though I feel a bit too dirty and a bit protected as well...I can't see Canelo really lining up for that fight...it would at best for Canelo be an ugly fight that Canelo maybe outskills Andre and can claim a legit victory...if Andre is able to get tough and dirty it is possible he hurts/roughs up Canelo, which could lead to a stoppage...I also can't see Andre readily agreeing to Canelo's demands in negotiations...Andre seems to be a proud man and I don't think he would want to limit himself with catchweights and restrictions.

And imo that is why this fight would never really happen...Canelo is a great fighter...but I think the fight with Ward has limited upside money wise...and does have some legacy wise...but I don't see him taking a big risk like that unless there is a great reward...and I don't really see the great reward, over and above what he can get vs. other active guys...and he can probably negotiate better terms with guys other than Ward right now...as far as weight etc.

                  No chance. Ward is retired.
