There. I admitted I don't have the faith in Roy anymore. Happy?
Perhaps I missed that because in the other threads it looked like you had the same mindset as the others saying RJJ can beat anyone now.

It's not about not having faith in him, it's about facing reality.

I don't think the guy can do it anymore and it looks like he can really hurt himself if he gets another knock out.

As much as I dislike him, I'll admit that the RJJ that beat Hopkins and Toney would easily go through the guys he's faced lately.

I have been facing the music for a while now. I have no delusions. I know that even the best version of today's Roy Jones would not have a good chance of beating either Joe C. or even Briggs or Adamek.

Such is life. But don't piss on everyone's parade. I'm just happy he got a ****ing win for once. It ****ing sucks when you are used to a guy winning all the time, then he loses for 2 years straight, almost 3.

I wonder how the "prime" RJJ would handle Calzaghe.

I'm not really trying to piss on everyone's parade, I'm just trying to keep people level.

Haven't you notice how crazy these people (not just RJJ fans) get after their favorite fighter wins a match.

No matter how bad the opponent is or how poor their fighter's performance was, they'll still get crazy and start making up tons of ****.

It gets annoying after a while, at least to me. I don't know if it annoys you.

But yeah, I know how it can be to see a favorite fighter of your's lose.

I was bummed when I saw DLH lose to Hopkins.

I still have my doubts on and off about that punch, but it's best to leave it be or I'll just feel as bad as I did then.

I also wonder about that...but I just ave to hope DLH would never pull some BS like that. People can't help but get excited when their fave guy comes back with a win, even if it is vs a marginally top 10-15 guy. Honestly, I didn't even have much hope Roy would win this fight.

            See? That's what I mean.

On one hand you have to deal with him being knocked out.
On the other you have to wonder if he took a fall and that's just entirely unacceptable.

            So it's a touchy subject.

I didn't think he'd win either and that's not just due to my dislike for him, it's because I thought he'd have another Glen Johnson fight.

I hope he fights another bum and retires.

That way he can actually do something outside of boxing and not end up like Ali or McClellan.

I still think Roy can beat the contenders out there.
              The champs?
              Thats a different story.
