No they weren't stop lying. lol Canelo said he was expecting Kovalev to outweigh him on fight night 10-15lbs. Not to mention all the height and reach advantage he gave up. Canelo isn't even a big middleweight and fought a career light heavyweight. But you wouldn't know anything about that because your girlfriend GGG never moves up talks about it but never does it.

Kovalev fought like a scared fighter against the much smaller man. He knew canelo was coming after the body so he refused to throw any big shots to not risk getting countered. Wasted a lot of energy moving and pitty pat jabbing that were just hitting Canelo's gloves to keep him off his body. So Canelo adjusted and targeted the head more since Kovalev was so paranoid of the body and broke him down and iced him up stairs.

You try to take away 1 thing and leave yourself vulnerable to something else that's what happened.

This was what I had predicted--fixing the fight by only throwing to Canelo's face when his gloves were up etc.

That's how Canelo vs JCC Jr was fixed. This is Oscar's way. Judges, ref also controlled, but this is his first plan. Few times times have we witnessed a big "krusher" retreating throughout from a smaller guy moving up 2 divisions.

And his homies are actually saying he'd beat Beterbiev now when that fight will either never happen or only in 3-5 years after Bet loses his chin like Kov and GGG did in part.

Canelo had this man shook well before the fight even started. As soon as Canelo called his name, him and his team were "shook". Kov's whole strategy was around survival, protecting his body and eeking out a victory. Ward completely exposed and destroyed this man's soul. It's painful to watch. This is as bad as Ali did to Frasier and Foreman.

He needs to leave Buddy and hook up with Virgil Hunter to get his soul back.

Ali was beat by Frazier and got his jaw broken and them went on to have 2 more very close fights. Get the facts correct.

I usually dismiss these fixed fight posts right out of hand. Tossed around so much. But, this fight was not right. Kov seemed completely content to pitter pat jab Canelo on his gloves. Didn't even seem concerned that he wasn't splitting his guard. And hardly threw any power punches. Not buying that he was afraid to open up the whole fight. I actually might be in your camp on this one. Looks like Kov cashed out for retirement and played the game for Golden Boy.
