  • Should the Fury-Wallin fight have been stopped?

This was Fury's cut/s which didn't cause the fight to be stopped

This was Nate Diaz's cuts which was stopped by a doctor.

Did Fury's team put pressure on the doc to not call a stoppage on the fight? He was fighting with that gash a lot longer than Diaz was as well.

We all know why it wasn’t stopped.

Fury was able to defend himself and win more rounds after the cut.

Diaz was getting battered before and even worse after the cut.

Old news. Fury’s cut has healed fine, so evidently no it shouldn’t have been stopped.

He was throwing punches, was not getting hit a lot

His eye was not in danger.

Without a shadow of a doubt that fight should of been stopped and Fury should of lost seeing as the cut was caused by punches. But we are all mature enough to know how this game works so we know Fury was afforded every opportunity to get through that one with a win. But yes it should of been stopped, that was an awful cut.

If it was anyone other than Fury, it wouldve been stopped. Even Bud Crawford said so.

We have seen similar cuts cause stoppages but in the end they didn’t stop it and he won the fight with no lasting damage, so you can’t really say if he should or shouldn’t. It is what it is.

It’s like saying should JMM have been waved off in the first Pac fight when he kept getting dropped in the first round? We have seen plenty of fights stopped like that with no real complaints but he didn’t get waved off and it ended up being close.

It’s really irrelevant. The cut never prevented him winning the fight or being able to compete, so it was the right decision. The fights should be called off if there’s no way the fighter can defend themselves or be competitive.
