I agree. Canelo isn't going to fight Golovkin and if he does Golovkin having a title isn't going to matter. Skip the manditory and rematch Derevyanchenko. Nobody is going to watch Golovkin against what's his name. From a perspective of generating subscriptions DAZN must have rocks in their heads to OK that fight and they must be complete ******s if they recommended it.

agreed, Golvkin needs another number 1 contender win to add to his other 2.

Golovkin should fight Charlo and Andrade then retire, I don't wanna see another clown show. I mean it ain't G's fault here he was fighting for real, but Kovalev? Kovalev just heavily went down in my estimation, no world class fighter should be taking a dive.

It benefits both of them to fight at 168. They are roughly the same size. At 168, neither will have to drain as much. Although Canelo now weighed 178 fight night so he gained a few pounds but still.

I think GGG would demand him come back to 160, even though its better for him at 168 because he also wouldnt have to drain, but its more of a control/ego thing.

This is similiar to the Floyd/Hatton fight at 147, where everyone made a big deal it wasnt at 140 but the reality was it benefited both fighters to be at 147 since neither had to drain. Its still the same two guys, regardless of what weight you put it at.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of that pale ginger boy. But I do find it funny that the pale ginger boy has so much more courage than Golovkin. Canelo has been through so many divisions by now, while Golovkin never dared to take any risks.

This ^, I'm abivalent about GGG moving to SMW to campaign there if he still feels he can make 160, because he'd be fighting naturally bigger guys who were also able to rehydrate far more but for the sake of a Canelo trilogy I think both would be most comfortable at the higher weight.

GGG will never go to 168, he’ll stay at 160 and fight the next bum his promoters find sitting at a bar stool within 3 miles of a boxing gym.
