Kovalev no longer has the hunger he once had and is past his best physically, but that was a great performance from Canelo and he was without a doubt winning even before the knockout. So many of Kov's jabs were blocked on the gloves, but I guess people see what they want to see as many seem to have had Kovalev winning the fight before being stopped. I don't.

Canelo was hurting him with those shots and it wore him down. He also wasted a lot of energy moving and jabbing to keep canelo off him. By the end he wasn't taking shots well at all.
