Objective boxing fans nailed the prediction of this fight

We all said Kovalev is old, shot and has no chin. We all said Canelo would knock Kovalev out.

The betting odds reflected this train of thought completely.

Canelo fans pretended like this was a dangerous fight against Kovalev from 2013.

The fight happened. Canelo looked like crap until he knocked Kovalev out.

Canelo fans, pretending like this was 2013 Kovalev and not old shot Kovalev with no chin then pretend like it’s the greatest win in boxing history.

Guess what’s next? Canelo will fight someone who doesn’t have a chance and his fans will pretend like it’s a great accomplishment... again.

Can’t wait. I wish we were back in any other decade prior to the 2000s were fighters actually challenged themselves to be the best instead of pretending.

Thanks Floyd Mayweather, you f**ked it up for everyone by proving that bull*****ting everyone is fat more profitable than trying to be the best.

Kovalev didn't look that bad. I don't know when fighters are going to learn their lesson and stop being trained by McGirt. He trains fighters to lose, and be passive. Training him to jab is one thing, training him to spend all his energy tapping throw away jabs is ******.

He throws in the towel early, makes fighters timid and passive, hes just a losers trainer.

For someone who claims he’s a GGG fan and not a canelo hater, you sure love to disregard his accomplishments. Canelo had a game plan and executed it to a tee. He knew it would take many rounds to get inside because of Kovs jab, and that’s what happened. You better hope Canelo doesn’t fight G again because he’ll probably make you cry

I’m not a GGG fan. I thought he lost 9 rounds to SD and got away with a robbery.

I thought GGG beat Canelo the fight time convincingly. I thought the second fight could go either way and have no problem with Canelo winning it. I scored it 115-113 for GGG.

I don’t think GGG would have a prayer to beat Canelo in a third fight. I think GGG is shot. But Canelo isn’t that good so it would probably be close.

It was a good win. Im sure some will go over the top like Kov was the king of the division and still in his prime and this is the win of the century and some will do the opposite and give Canelo absolute zero credit. I just hope the most of us can see it for what it was which was Canelo moving up to 175 to fight NOT the best fighter in the division but a still dangerous fighter in the division.

I think back to the Yarde fight. Kov has still enough in him to expose the pretenders. Canelo still deserves some good credit for this. And the finish was world class. Fantastic 3 punch combo. What true Boxing fan wouldnt appreciate that finish.

Well, there was also the middle ground where you thought Kovalev was definitely strategically pursued from the 175 options (and maybe even had the audacity to call it a cherry pick and were then reprimanded by some autist going hardline on semantics - "err derrr, cherry pick is only when you opt to fight a literal handicapped child from the local elementary school!"), but also still plenty of a live wire in his own right and also thought the margins for Canelo, while rightfully favored, was also ****** wide and it was more of 55/45 affair for the ginger demigod, but yeah.

Kovalev is a second close to Beterbiev who would plant Canelo,so the distance to the two is ? ….what is the point of the thread ? Anyone who studies boxing knew Canelo would most likely win based off of Yarde...nothing complicated here .
