Someone just argued Berchelt to me. So Berchelt is more known then Haney?
Berchelt had one of the higher rated fights on ESPN this year. Haney's fight on Showtime earlier this year got an embarassingly low 188,000 viewers. Household name doe.

Loma vs. a Logan Paul undercarder isn't that type of fight. If Haney was as highly regarded as Crawford then he'd have a legitimate argument that he's being ducked by the top fighters.
Okay, so what do you suggest Haney do then? Fight a bunch of nobodies right?

Kind of like...What Crawford is doing?

He should fight anybody that can pull his average viewership above 200k.

Does Lomachenko fit that description? Because that's who he wants to fight.

The purse split would have to be 91/9, since Loma's highest rated fight had over 10x more viewers than Haney's highest rated fight, and is significantly more popular. Hearn would never put up the money to make it happen because he'd take a huge loss. The only way it happens is if Top Rank wants it to happen but they have several in house options before Haney is considered.

That's too bad. He gladly fought Crolla, his WBA mandatory.

Shame he couldn't do the same here.

Never seen a 91/9 split against a champion in my life ever but hey, you must know what you're talking about.....lol.

Haney wasn't his mandatory. The WBC never ordered that fight. He was an interim paper champion. Interim champions don't always get an immediate shot at the real title. Charlo was also an interim champ but never became mandatory. Even if Haney was mandatory there is no obligation to fight him if Loma decided to unify instead, which was always the plan, to get the IBF belt. If Haney wants Loma he needs to bring more to the table. Beating club fighters, low ticket sales, and poor ratings aren't gonna get him nowhere.
