    I agree.

People underestimate Kovalevs footwork, timing and jab.

You cant beat kovalev from a long range. Andre Ward couldnt do it in their first fight so he had to fight coming forward putting non stop pressure in their second fight.

I dont think Canelo is physically able to bully Kovalev like Ward did

Nelo is the favorite by the bookies, and majority? of boxing analyst, trainers, boxers and fans... but you know in boxing, upsets sometimes happens...

Hes a LHW boxer puncher, Canelo couldnt beat a middleweight boxer puncher of equivalent skill level

        Steroids

Kovalev is past it. That's the only reason Canelo is fighting him. He's going to get dominated. No way Golden Boy and Canelo put him in there with someone he won't beat.

But if Krusher pulls out a miracle, I'll rejoice as rarely do.
To be fair, Canelo doesn’t seem to have the best stamina either and it might not help bulking up.

That said, they picked this fight for a reason. Kovalev is basically at the end and hasn’t really fought a truly top level fighter for a while now, since Ward. It’s one thing beating guys like Yarde, but Canelo is levels above, regardless of size.

I believe if Kovalev fought any of the other LHW champs at this point, he would get wrecked and probably will even against a smaller top level fighter in Canelo.

As i say, they picked this fight because they know he’s basically done at a high level.

Let’s be honest, if Canelo picks up that WBO LHW title, he will have absolutely no thoughts of trying to unify with the fellow champs at that weight because they’re not shot.

My advice to Sergey is to go out there and fight a very controlled and measured pace. Walk the smaller Canelo down with your telephone pole like jab and avoid the exchanges.

In other words, keep Alvarez at a distance with the end of your jab by constantly forcing him to fight off the back foot and make it a very slowed paced fight. That's how you defeat a counter puncher.
            This thread surprises me.

I see no situation where Canelo stops Kovalev. But it's like NSB forgot that a different Alvarez has a KO win over Sergey that frankly shouldn't have happened. It did because Kov tends to leave himself open when throwing. He's also vulnerable to the uppercut - the signature punch of the WBC Carne Franchise Champion.

This fight will come down to speed and timing.

Look at Hopkins with that dirty ass Holyfield inspired head move. He was hoping Kov would be coming forward, not expecting him to step back and counter.

I consistently get boxing predictions wrong like almost 100% wrong so I could make alot of money placing bets against my own predictions.

I called it. I knew Kovalev wouldn't win. I'd been saying it since they first started talking about the fight. He has a size and power advantage but that's it. As I said before, it would be like Canelo against a bigger GGG without the heart or chin.
