Reasons Kovalev vs Canelo is very suspect

Kovalev is 36 and at the end, with two lawsuits from women he assaulted to pay off. He needs the money big time. $14m for this fight seems overly high, unless he's agreed to dive.

DAZN is contracted to Canelo for a guaranteed 10 fight $350m contract. Canelo and Oscar have that money to play with and they can tell any challenger, If you want the fight and our $ you have to dance to OUR tune. In other words they have the guaranteed jackpot to pay off anyone. Like Mayweather and Haymon did during their $150m six fight guaranteed Showtime contract.

Canelo is a franchise and the money masters are behind him and protecting their investment. Canelo will not lose until the end of the contract when the money masters decide who his franchise successor will be.

No rematch clause. If this was a REAL fight there would be a rematch clause because it would be a risk for both and both would want the security of a rematch clause. But Buddy McGirt let it slip there is no rematch clause in effect here. So this is a one off fight. It's a fix for Canelo. Do you really think Oscar and Canelo would make this fight without a rematch clause if it was real?

Oscar already talked about Canelo vs GGG3 being on for next year. Oscar knows Canelo will win vs Kovalev and is already making his future plans for Canelo known to the public. This upset Canelo, who doesn't want his fans to know Kovalev will throw the fight. This was very ****** move by Oscar to basically announce Canelo vs GGG 3 in 2020. Canelo told Oscar to shut up and not say these things to the public. Canelo has a little more honor than Oscar who showed he's an idiot for revealing that Canelo vs GGG is on for 2020.

Add up all these facts and it looks like Kovalev vs Canelo is a big fat fix, a set up for the WBC franchise and a pay off for an aging champ who needs to cash out because he has two allegedly assaulted women with money hungry lawyers on his ass.

A "fix"?? Why would it need a fix?
You have an aging, fading fighter who is notoriously weak to the body.
On the other side you have a prime fighter who has finished guys with body shots.
The math isn't hard to add up here.

This thread is more likely to be paid by GGG than what it's claiming.

The real suspect thing to me is that Kov fights on DAZN if he loses and he goes back to ESPN if he wins. Doesn't make alot of sense to me...

I like Kovalev to win this fight, Canelo bit off more than he could chew.

Canelo's huge contract means that there a very few names that can satisfy a matchup.

GGG is one and Kov is about the biggest name that he can fight and they hopefully don't lose any money.

Besides those two you have to look hard into those weight classes to find an international boxing star.

Also suspect is the underlying tone when the characters involve talk. Hopkins, Oscar are talking up Kovalev's chances to sell the fight. Whereas if it was a real fight they wouldn't care, they would talk more dismissively of Kovalev. There tone is Hey, people this is a risky fight with Kovalev, Kovalev is tough! That's salesmanship. Real fights don't need to be sold, fake fights do.

Everybody involved in the fight seems to be on the same page, just like a big business alliance. The only hint of any discord or controversy is between Oscar and Canelo and that could be a fabricated drama.
